Who we are
Hallory is venue management software for community spaces such as churches, village halls, community centres, sports clubs and non-profits. In these terms, "Hallory", "we" and "us" refer to the operator of hallory.app, and "you" refers to the person or organisation using the site or the service.
These terms apply to your use of the hallory.app website, including joining the waitlist. Where the Hallory service itself is made available to you, these terms apply to that use as well, alongside any additional plan terms agreed at the time.
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist means giving us an email address so we can tell you when Hallory launches and what it costs. It does not create an account, does not commit you to a purchase, and does not guarantee access at any particular time.
We may contact you about the launch, early access and founding pricing. You can ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time by replying to any message from us or emailing hello@hallory.app.
Using the service
When the Hallory service is available to you, you agree to use it lawfully and not to misuse it. In particular you agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other organisations’ data, or the systems the service runs on.
- Use the service to store or distribute unlawful material, or material you do not have the right to hold.
- Interfere with the operation of the service, including by placing unreasonable load on it.
- Resell, sublicense or otherwise make the service available to third parties outside your organisation without our agreement.
Your content and your data
You keep ownership of the information you put into Hallory, including your bookings, rooms, hirer records, volunteer and staff details and financial records. We do not claim ownership of it.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis to hold the personal data you enter, for example the contact details of hirers, volunteers and staff. Our handling of personal data is described in our privacy policy.
We access your data only as needed to operate and support the service, to keep it secure, or where we are required to by law.
Availability
We work to keep Hallory available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of faults in systems and networks we depend on.
Before general launch, features may change, be added or be removed as the product develops. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes that affect how you use the service.
Payments and pricing
Pricing is published before launch and confirmed at the point you subscribe. Where founding-member pricing is offered to waitlist members, the terms of that offer are set out when it is made.
Hallory tracks the payments your venue receives from hirers. It does not process those payments, and we are not a party to the agreement between you and your hirers.
Ending your use
You can stop using Hallory at any time. Where a paid plan is in place, the cancellation terms of that plan apply.
We may suspend or end access where these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached, where we are required to by law, or where continuing would put the service or other users at risk. Except in urgent cases we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right.
If your use ends, we will make your data available for export for a reasonable period before deleting it.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, Hallory is provided as-is. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, or for loss arising from your reliance on the service as your only record. We recommend keeping your own backup of anything critical to running your venue.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice by email or in the service before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
