Hallory
Bookings & clash detection

Double bookings, caught before anyone says yes

Every request is checked against the entire calendar the moment it arrives. If two groups want the same room at overlapping times, Hallory blocks the clash. It cannot be approved by accident.

Three steps, no training

Step 01

A request arrives

Someone asks for a room, either through your public booking page or added by an admin directly.

Step 02

Hallory checks the whole calendar

Every existing booking in that room is compared against the requested times, including recurring weekly slots.

Step 03

Clashes are blocked, not warned

If the times overlap, the request is flagged and the approve button will not let it through. Move it to a free room or time and it clears instantly.

Bookings & clash detection, answered

Every booking request is compared against all existing bookings for that room. A conflict exists if the new booking starts before an existing one ends and ends after it starts. When that happens the request is flagged as a clash and cannot be approved until it is moved to a free time or a different room.

The clash block is deliberate: it cannot be approved as-is, which is what stops accidental double bookings. If you genuinely need both, you change one booking to a different room or time and the block clears immediately.

Yes. Recurring weekly bookings such as services, classes and regular groups are protected on the calendar for every future occurrence, and one-off requests that would overlap them are blocked in the same way.

Event name, organisation, room, date, start and end time, attendee numbers, notes, booking status and payment status. Everything about a hire lives on one record rather than across a diary, an inbox and a spreadsheet.
